Cost Accountant

Summary

Under limited management supervision, this role completes a variety of complex accounting projects involving the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting and financial reporting procedures, including special projects. Ensures management is provided with relevant, comparable, and accurate data on which to base decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with the development and maintenance of a cost accounting structure
• Creates reports on financial performance for management and key stakeholders
• Maintains financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards
• Completes accounting activities for month-end close
• Preform Ad hoc analysis and journal entries as required
• Reviews and reconciles inventory balances on a routine basis
• High level of experience managing large data sets and financial information in Excel
• Navigate multiple ERP systems to complete tasks
• JDE, Agvance, SAP experience preferred, not required

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting from 4 year college or university

0-3+ years related experience and/or training
