PURPOSE: As a Cost Accountant, you will directly and actively support the accurate development, maintenance, and fiscal reporting of manufacturing costs & variances.

Additionally, this position will maintain & update standard costs and perform physical inventories throughout the year.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Prepare weekly and monthly reporting and analysis related to manufacturing variances and inventory
• Collaborate with operations on decreasing manufacturing variances and inventory adjustments
• Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation
• Manage scrap reporting, auditing, and analysis
• Prepare special price requests for international customers and subsidiaries
• Provide master data including costs for new products and cost updates
• Participate in physical inventories including data entry, auditing and counting
• Manage offsite physical inventories
• Report, analyze, and resolve low margins
• Leverage technology to drive efficiencies within the department
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
• CPA/CMA certificates and advanced degree are a plus
• 2+ years of Cost Accounting experience required. Manufacturing environment preferred; General accounting experience with additional background in cost will be considered.
• Excellent PC skills required (e.g., Excel, Windows-environment, etc.)
• SAP experience a plus
• Must be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
