All about the role:

In this role you will be reporting to the Finance Controller - Distribution for Electrolux Major Appliances NA and will be based either in Charlotte, NC or in Fletcher, NC. The Cost Accounting Analyst provides timely reporting of all financial information for the Fletcher and Reno Distribution Centers.

What you'll do:

In this role you will perform month-end close responsibilities and financial reporting accurately as assigned in compliance with internal controls. This includes standard entries for warehouse locations, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of month-end reporting to corporate office. You will perform various inventory and cost controlling activities to ensure proper treatment of expenses and assets and quality of reporting. This includes and is not limited to interacting with site leaders to ensure proper handling of cost, preparing, and providing financial analysis with variance to budget and forecast in a timely manner, and assisting in strategic plan, annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.

Other responsibilities may include:

Perform month-end close responsibilities and financial reporting accurately as assigned in compliance with internal controls.

Entry of standard entries for warehouse locations

Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations

Preparation of month-end reporting to corporate office

Provide frequent and timely support to various business partners throughout the organization.

Perform various inventory and cost controlling activities to ensure proper treatment of expenses and assets and quality of reporting:

Interact with site leaders to ensure proper handling of costs.

Prepare and provide financial analysis with variance to Budget and Forecast in a timely manner.

Assist in strategic plan, annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.

Support standard cost setting and cost analytics.

Plan and conduct annual physical inventories.

Partner with product management team to develop, review, and maintain standard cost of inventory.

Standardize and streamline process efficiencies including identify and drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics.

Follow internal control procedures to ensure compliance.

Prepare information as needed for external auditors.

Perform other projects as assigned by leadership.

Who you are:

You have strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication skills. You pay attention to detail and have a solid understanding of general accounting as well as internal audit controls. You posses intellectual curiosity and have a great passion for getting involved in all aspects of the business. You are comfortable in Excel and would consider yourself an intermediate user. You lead with a proactive work ethic, including the ability and desire to take ownership of process improvement and other projects. You can work both independently and in a team environment. You are flexible and dependable with the ability to meet all business needs. You have previous experience in a multinational manufacturing or distribution corporation. You have previously worked in systems such as SAP and/or SQL.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in accounting

3-5 years of experience in an accounting department
