Cost Accounting Intern

Introduction:

This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, majoring in finance, accounting, or business. The intern will work in several different functional areas but will have a specific focus in accounting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month end closing and reconciliation
• Run and process Oracle report
• Apply the cost/inventory management knowledge from concept to work, following US GAAP
• Prepare timely and accurate reporting and analysis
• Support forecast, analyze monthly results, provide variance explanations
• Drive the reporting function by building dashboards and other summaries for management
• Assist with financial modeling analysis and other special projects

• Participate on various finance led process improvement activities and other special projects
• Business partnering with numerous teams across the business
• Perform other ad hoc analysis as requested

Required Skills:

• This role is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a four-year or advanced degree program, majoring in finance, accounting, or business.
• Good knowledge of general accounting procedures and US GAAP
• Intermediate skills in Excel graphing and PowerPoint are required
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Capable of taking direction and working independently on assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with diverse team members as needed
