Job Summary

In this role, the Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data related to inventory, costing, absorption and variance analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Document new business processes establishing standard operating procedures.
• Forecast increases/decreases in production - substantiate these forecasts in costing file.
• Train, review, analyze with business partners on the results and outcomes of standard cost variances on monthly basis
• Foster the involvement of end users outside of the cost accounting team.
• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability.
• Perform annual/quarterly inventory valuation
• Assist with quarter-end reviews and year-end audits, including internal controls testing (SOX 404), particularly where it relates to the supply chain and inventory areas
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 2-4 years' experience
• Solution oriented, nimble, and proven ability to change course swiftly.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics with an understanding of organizational accounting concepts and strong financial analysis skills
• Ability to identify and analyze business issues, developing and recommending solutions.
• Experience with Power BI strongly preferred.
