Job Description

Responsible for accounting policies and procedures involving the maintenance of a precise general ledger, analysis of balance sheet accounts, and management financial reporting. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.

Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

Responsibilities

Support cost accounting and financial analysis for business operations.

Assist with month end close activities, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgeting process

Responsible for producing various financial reports for management in regards to production cost per unit, cost drivers and variances etc., department expenses, and overall business objectives

Support finance team as a point person for all operational focused initiatives within finance department including production cost per unit, cost drivers and cost variances

Maintain internal modeling and system maintenance for quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting

Prepare analysis for large capital projects spending including tracking and reporting

Conduct Ad Hoc analysis to support strategic direction and business objectives

Analyze monthly benchmarking activities and investigate/report variances to management

Help complete year-end financial reporting packages for the three business units

Provide year-end audit support for operations and external auditors

Assist in other project-oriented tasks and duties, as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Minimum 7 years' experience in cost accounting roles with demonstrated track record of increasing responsibilities

Experience should include EVM / Earned Value Management

Competent in the application of accounting, finance, auditing, and cost control technologies

System requirements include strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and a working knowledge of ERP systems

Ability to obtain and or maintain a secret clearance
