Role Summary

Responsible for the administration of cost analyst activities including sales, piece price, launch, and engineering cost tracking. Reports to Cost/Price Manager and supports customer service teams in various planning, reporting, and analytical capacities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintains tracking system for product piece-price, launch costs and design, and development costs by product.

2. Administers sales quotation tracking system. Maintains records and files to serve as audit trail for all customer quotations.

3. Monitors current financial performance compared to plans, assists customer service directors in detecting variances and initiating corrective action plans.

4. Reports customer service team key measurables.

5. Ensures that accurate sales price information is maintained in corporate database systems.

6. May be responsible for various customer invoicing activities.

7. Under general direction, maintains and improves cost estimating and launch tracking system.

8. Works with engineering team to ensure quoted engineering, design, and tooling costs are accurate, in compliance with customer requirements, and completed in a timely manner according to customer deadlines.

9. Develops customer specific piece price and tooling breakdowns and is available to support details of that breakdown with sales account manager and or directly with customer if required

Key Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelors degree in appropriate field (e.g., accounting, finance, industrial engineering), plus a minimum of two years experience in an appropriate financial environment.

2. Demonstrated strong initiative in confronting and resolving problems.

3. Effective in written and verbal communications, proven skills in interacting with others.

4. Possess analytical skills.

5. Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.

6. Proficient in use of computers, including spreadsheets and graphics.
