Cost Analyst - Entry Level

Position Summary:

Support the Finance team at Exela with focus on the operations area related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and fixed assets valuation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with building standard costs for all finished goods products using the existing SAP system and or excel versions
• Responsible for updating standard costs for new products in SAP
• Work with production departments to gather necessary data for input including machine rates, labor assignments and indirect labor ratios as needed for product drivers
• Understand, track and report manufacturing production variances provided by SAP. Specifically, related to volume, efficiency, material usage, product yield, and raw material price variances
• Participate in month end closing process as defined by accounting department, including preparing journal entries and running various month end closing jobs for manufacturing
• Assist in managing fixed assets, including capitalization of AUC's and FA physical inventories
• Prepare various production reports on a weekly and monthly basis as defined by management
• Assist project management in various ad hoc analysis as needed
• Assist with GRIR analysis relating to inventory receipts or related outstanding invoices.
• Conduct monthly Cycle counts as defined by SAP in coordination with supply chain and warehouse management
• Update various SKF's and other financial metrics
• Assist with sales forecasting models
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of accounting ERP systems, SAP, ECC, S4 HANA, Oracle
• Analytical Skills
• Detail Oriented

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 1-5 years' experience in the accounting or finance area
