Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Cost Analyst II for our Pendleton, SC facility. The individual in this position, will conduct data analysis around standards based on product cost. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business, with an accounting emphasis. Having a working knowledge of Power BI and manufacturing experience are preferred. Main Objective:

Liaise with Arthrex Business Units to deliver timely and accurate product and cost center cost accompanied with other data for plan and actual to provide effective reports and profitability calculations with the goal to support decision making and process optimization for business optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize SAP and other relevant IT systems to analyze cost for accuracy, determine trends and interpret variances
• Provide transparency on productivity developments and document action geared commentaries
• Maintain cross-functional relationships with applicable business units and participate in cross-functional projects, activities, and meetings
• Maintain and liaise with other stakeholders about accurate Master data for routings, BOM's and cost centers
• Perform cost center, product cost and activity type planning and provide cost center rate calculations with increased focus on fix/variable cost
• Responsible for cost roles to calculate of standard cost with multi-level BOM's
• Monitor and ensure accurate inventory evaluation, cycle count observations, scrap analyses, obsolescence determination
• Visualize trends and plan/actual comparisons and provide sensitivity analyses for management guidance
• Provide routine and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Support and train other areas of the organization in cost related SAP topics and for cost determination
• Be sparring partner for Make-or-buy decisions, pricing questions including transfer price related topics
• Implement and support continuous improvement ideas in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting efficiency and effectiveness

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Business field with cost related focus
• 2+ years of relevant post graduate manufacturing work experience preferred
• Medical device manufacturing preferred
• Proficient using Microsoft Office suite with mastery of Excel
• Working knowledge of Power BI preferred
• SAP knowledge/experience preferred

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Virtual machines and laptops. Microsoft environment. Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
