Cost Control Engineer - Process (Bulk Gas/Special Chem)

JOB TITLE: Cost Control Engineer – Process (High Purity, Bulk Gas, Special Chemicals)LOCATION: Chandler, AZJOB DESCRIPTIONThe Process Cost Control Engineer will focus on cost management for process systems, including high-purity gases, bulk gas, and special chemical installations in mission-critical construction projects. This role will involve tracking and validating cost proposals for process-related installations and ensuring compliance with budgets and schedules. The Process Cost Control Engineer will collaborate with subcontractors, the project team, and the Cost Manager to ensure accurate financial tracking and forecasting. The position is based onsite in Chandler, AZ.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and track costs related to process systems such as high purity gas, bulk gas, and special chemicals, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
• Validate process system subcontractor cost proposals and ensure documentation completeness and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of project cost forecasts, maintaining accurate cost tracking for process systems.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports for process systems, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and process engineering teams to ensure cost control data is up to date.
• Monitor project costs, track changes, and assist with managing work authorizations and contract modifications for process systems.
• Provide cost management support for the procurement and installation of process system components.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent field work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost control or project management within process systems or high-purity gas installations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with cost control software.
• Strong understanding of process systems and their role in large-scale construction projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Specific experience in managing costs for high-purity gases, bulk gas, and chemical systems in industrial projects.
• Familiarity with process system procurement and cost control best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage process system costs and maintain budget compliance in complex construction environments.
