Cost Engineer

Job Description

As part of the Sustaining Operations team in the ISG (Intelligent Sensing Group) Operations organization you will be responsible for a broad cross section of tactical and strategic activities related to product and supply chain cost modeling / optimization. Specific to this role will be leading efforts to drive best in class total cost of ownership.

Successful candidates will have a background in, or rapidly come up to speed on, cost modeling of semiconductor supply chain and operations. To execute in this role the candidate will need to thrive in working with multiple planning, operations, logistics, engineering, quality, and business unit teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities• Cost Structure: comprehend the cost components of each BOM Part #• Benchmarking: benchmark internal / external cost structures• Analytics: leverage existing and derive new analytic methodologies• Assimilate various quantifiable / qualifiable inputs and synthesize into a comprehensive cost model to drive the decision-making process

Qualifications

Required Skills• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills• Ability to organize and coordinate at a global level• Understanding of manufacturing processes• Results oriented - identifies issues and drives the decision process• Solid problem-solving skills, sound judgment• Ability to multi-task and organize work systematically to meet deadlines without compromising on quality

• Strong MS Skills
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Experience• 5+ years semiconductor supply chain experience a plus• CMOS Imager Sensor industry experience a plus• Cost benchmarking experience a plus

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is$109,595.00 to $191,000.00 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
