Position Description

Origis Energy is looking for a Cost Forecasting Manager or Director to join our diverse and growing team. The ideal candidate, reporting to our Preconstruction leader, will be focused on the success of the early stage project efforts by forecasting and planning equipment and materials based on scope of work. This individual will support all early stage estimating and scheduling and work alongside project management as the project matures through various stages.

The position of Cost Forecasting Manager or Director is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish/Refine CAPEX cost forecasting tool to assess early cost estimates and manage projects from early stages through turnover to project execution team
  • Establish cost projections for 2-5 years out for EPC team and multiple projects via Excel modeling
  • Maintain project cost history to support future costs forecasts
  • Coordinate with procurement to establish equipment cost forecast
  • Track industry capex cost trends
  • Support project teams in commercial discussions with EPC partners


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field preferred
  • 5+ years experience (Manager), OR, 8+ years experience (Director) in project forecasting, estimation and pre construction development
  • Utility scale solar and BESS project experience required
  • Development experience highly preferred
