Job Description for - Costing Function

Mission of the Job

Calculate and update with the best accuracy, the cost of components, sub assemblies and products for new projects

1. Provide productivity target through products value analysis

1. Calculate the detailed cost of a new product as per Schneider Electric Methodology
2. Make sure that cost evaluation of a new product is shared and accepted by the manufacturing plant
3. follow up and update costs during project stage gates
4. Alerts in case of deviation
5. Track potential savings through product cost analysis
6. Compares different techno-industrial solutions and fin out the best through ROI calculation
7. Collect data from all Schneider electric sources ( Purchase, Finances, Mfg. Plants, Logistics, etc ) including France and other countries and consolidate them.
8. Brings challenges for cost reduction by fixing aggressive but achievable targets
9. Uses all SE Cost database ( Scala, Bridge, etc )
10. Generate, update and organize a cost database
11. Perform value analysis on existing products and set targets to achieve productivity
12. Estimates cost for parts of products localization of rebalancing
13. If needed calculates products margin
14. If needed calculates products localization rate
15. Execute Design to Cost level 1 in Projects.
16. Complete teardown for Schneider and Competitor products
17. Costing of all components (Plastics, Metals & PCBA
