Cost Price Analyst

Job Summary

Hive Group, LLC specializes in helping federal government agencies and local area government contractors plan, define, acquire and manage programs in support of operational needs and missions. We are seeking a Cost and Price Analyst to provide support to a Civilian client in assisting senior level personnel, middle management and junior personnel with providing innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and developing and implementing the agency procurement policy/processes. Specific areas of focus include

Position Responsibilities

• Provides cost/price analysis support with comprehensive knowledge of the full scope of laws, regulations, and policies that affect both the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) and the cost/price analysis of proposals submitted for all pre-award contracting activities up to and including contract award.
• Performs price/cost analysis on the various elements of major contractor proposals, reviewing in detail the significant direct and indirect cost elements.
• Performs price/cost analysis on the various elements of major contractor proposals, reviewing in detail the significant direct and indirect cost elements.
• Evaluating pricing of proposals and providing justifications for corrections or realistic projections
• Assists in the development of and/or make recommendations for the price/cost objectives to be used in negotiations.
• Provides a forecast of price trends, economic factors and efficiencies in production for future accounting periods using analytical techniques such as random sampling, cost models, learning curves, and parametric cost models.
• Requests, coordinates and integrates into a comprehensive pricing report the various technical evaluations of cost elements.
• Provides group training and hands on training/support to contract specialists for cost/price analysis requirements.
• Develops and recommends change to directives within the framework of policies and established procedures.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities within a team Excellent oral and verbal communication skills. Expertise with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Job Qualifications

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 2-3 years’ cost analysis experience
• Experience conducting cost realism analysis on all types of contracts.
• Experience supporting cost analysis during source selections. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS) and contract administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• 3-5 years experience with Government Acquisitions
• Cost-Plus & Cost-Plus Award Fee acquisition experience
• Significant or expert knowledge of Intelligence contracting community highly desired
• DAWIA or Industry Standard certification in Contracting
• Ability to work independently and in a team on very complex acquisitions
• Active affiliation with acquisition related industry groups highly desired
