What we're looking for
Momentive is looking for an enthusiastic lawyer to join our legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in helping to scale a growing internet business This role will require you to focus on commercial transactions and will involve collaboration with members of Momentive's sales, finance, operations, and executive teams across the globe. You will report to a senior lawyer in Momentive's international legal team.
You will
- Have responsibility for negotiating, drafting, and advising on a broad range of customer-facing agreements, principally SaaS Enterprise Agreements and ancillary documentation related to sales deals, such as NDAs, order forms, data processing agreements and other related agreements.
- Work with internal clients and important partners (including the sales, sales operations, information security, privacy and finance teams) by providing legal advice on relevant legal topics.
- Provide training and ongoing support on sales and contractual matters, including developing internal guides and training materials.
- Support the Procurement team to navigate complex contractual negotiations, including security and privacy related matters.
- Recommend and implement improvements to commercial policies and standard form contracts.
- Build relationships with and support other members of the legal team.
You have
- 3 or more years of post qualification experience specializing in commercial and privacy law (in a respected law firm or in-house in a technology company)
- Qualification to practice law in the jurisdiction where you reside
- Strong general commercial contracting background with experience of IT and SaaS contracts.
- Experience with and an ability to negotiate privacy related agreements
- Awareness of revenue recognition rules and associated risks and an ability to manage and avoid those risks
- Experience of giving succinct, commercially motivated legal advice
- Experience working both independently and in versatile teams
- Experience working across jurisdictions and time zones
