Job Description:
Job Summary: The CPAN Educator develops and presents in-person and virtual educational Continuing Education Units (CEUs), Continuing Medical Education (CME), and community training on child and adolescent behavioral health topics, while assisting the CPAN and TCHATT teams in similar tasks. The CPAN Educator facilitates support and psychoeducational groups for teachers, school support groups, patients, and families.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
- Works collaboratively with team and providers to develop, organize, and present virtual CMEs and other educational opportunities to providers.
- Works with team to provide outreach and education on consortium projects in-person to providers.
- Presents education on behavioral and mental health concerns for children and adolescents to the community, agencies, schools, and providers.
- Collaboration Collaborates with community agencies on behavioral and mental health education related to children and adolescents.
- Facilitates support and psychoeducational groups for teachers, school support groups, and families.
- Assists CPAN & TCHATT team in development of educational resources.
- Fills in for CPAN Resources Specialists or Project Coordinator as required.
- Develops educational marketing tools to send to CPAN enrolled providers.
- Enrolls providers into the CPAN program.
- Maintains data base accuracy of enrolled CPAN providers.

Qualifications:
- Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
- Must have current licensure from Texas in one of the following: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners or the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.
- Certification in Non-Aggressive Crisis Management; must be obtained while in orientation and maintained throughout employment.
- Current BCLS certification and must be obtained throughout employment. May be obtained subsequent to hire.
- 1 plus year developing and presenting child and adolescent behavioral health topics to professionals and the lay community.
