CPG Consulting Manager

Role.  An overview of the opportunity:

At Skupos, data is everything. Our data integrates the forgotten, fragmented world of the mom-and-pop corner with the glitzy, gigantic world of CPG conglomerates. We’re looking for a Manager of Consulting to lead a team that helps our CPG clients get the most out of our data.  

We need someone who can effectively manage talented CPG data analysts to dive deep into trends and tell compelling analytical stories to our clients. This person must have strong experience uncovering impactful insights, but more importantly, a keen ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations to help our clients be more successful.

Team.  The team and our people:

This role will be part of the product and engineering org, sitting alongside product management and technology leaders who are  building the Skupos platform and dataset.

Responsibilities.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the CPG Consulting team
• Set the direction for consulting and data services at Skupos
• Establish and maintain working relationships with leads in other departments, especially client management, data platforms, and sales
• Develop reports, dashboards, analyses, models, and insights to tell compelling stories to our clients about their brand and category
• Develop and enforce operational processes and data tracking to ensure consistent delivery of services and visibility across the organization

Experience and Skills. Candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in a technical or quantitative field (advanced degree is a plus).
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL.
• 3+ years of experience working with data and analytics.
• 2+ years of operational responsibility for ELT systems or data pipelines.
• 2+ years using dbt to automate analytical transformations.
• Recent experience with a modern data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience with data warehousing architecture and understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices (e.g., normalization/denormalization).
• Experience with git and git-based workflows (e.g., GitHub).
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Mode, Looker).
• Familiarity with data and metrics from third-party SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Recurly, Stripe, Intercom, Zendesk, Netsuite, etc.

Salary is based on location and experience.

Salary range in Denver: $100,000 - $110,000
