$150,000.00 - $180,000.00

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

Axos is actively interviewing for our innovative Creative and Content Strategy Director to lead brand, content, and design strategies from concept through execution. As we serve both consumer (B2C), commercial (B2B), and internal clients, a robust understanding of marketing, internal communications, PR, personas, and thought leadership is crucial.

The Creative and Content Strategy Director will work closely and strategically align with executive, business, and marketing leaders to develop the deep understanding of products and audience required to produce best-in-class creative experiences. He/she will also foster growth and efficiency among a diverse team of creatives, content creators, and social media professionals

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and manage a team of creatives, content writers, designers, and others to deliver amazing, unique, and effective creative work and content experiences; and fill talent gaps where needed.
  • Manage and guide the work of creative and content from internal teams to agencies and external partners; the ambassador for open content and design feedback across the teams to foster improvement through measured critique.
  • Lead the full creative team to work cross-functionally and under strong project management disciplines to deliver effective brand campaigns, partnerships, digital content, events, press releases and communications, social media experiences, etc. - a key aspect of the overarching responsibilities will be to enhance our video and social content strategy.
  • Instrumental in leading the evolution of our brand, voice and tone, brand guidelines, and creative strategy across Axos in a manner that aligns with our rapid growth of financial products, technologies, and services.
  • Advance a culture that pushes creative boundaries, while being vigilant around brand/company culture standards, legal/compliance requirements, and attention to detail.
  • The evangelist of our brand, storytelling, voice, and tone in the company (and out) while working closely with our CEO and executive team to translate their vision into brand and marketing experiences, and potentially PR opportunities.
  • Drive test and learn methodologies within the content and design output that facilitate engagement and revenue optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 12 years or more in the creative space, with time as a CD or ACD highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful organizational rebrands and delivering effective persona analysis and reporting, either from the client side or within an agency setting
  • A comprehensive portfolio showcasing the capacity to transform concepts into unified campaigns across diverse platforms and media.
  • Adept leader, steering a distinct creative direction, gaining executive buy-in, and nurturing your team.
  • Refined aesthetic sense paired with a knack for outstanding creativity, copywriting, and visual design.
  • Unwavering enthusiasm to innovate within the creative realm, enriched by your versatile professional experiences.
  • Proficiency in articulating creative ideas in a manner that galvanizes both your team and external partners.
  • Open and clear in sharing your work, fostering enhanced teamwork and collaboration.
  • Deep-rooted understanding of design principles, ranging from overarching strategy to intricate design nuances.
  • Experience directing video editors, illustrators, designers, motion designers, and copywriters.
  • Experience working both in-house and at agencies a plus.
