Job Description
This is a central role within the marketing team, reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and ensuring that every asset we develop reflects the company's core brand in a compelling and consistent way. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for setting and managing our brand identity strategy, while implementing your strong creative vision to design and manage the production of all branded commercial assets across the business, including collateral pieces, e-marketing assets, ads, videos, Google Slides / PPT decks, social media platforms, and more. You'll also provide creative direction to our agencies as needed to guide the visual identity of the company's website, trade show booth and any other partner-developed assets.
In this role, you will combine an expertise in graphic, motion and web design techniques, photography & videography and content & creative concept development. You have an exceptional portfolio that showcases your ability to produce as well as lead the production of a wide range of these materials. An ideal candidate is one who has demonstrated success in a similar role within an agency or in-house environment supporting companies with evolving brands, preferably in the technology arena.
Day to Day Activities:
- Lead the evolution of the Boston Dynamics brand identity strategy in a way that supports our company's past, present and future.
- Design and/or oversee the production of the company's marketing assets across a wide range of digital, print and social media.
- Create, manage and evolve a comprehensive brand guidelines document that serves as the blueprint for the company's visual identity moving forward. Develop and maintain a similar brand identity guide for our external partner ecosystem to leverage.
- Serve as the authority and steward of the company's visual brand identity and brand guidelines, ensuring they are consistently applied and integrated into a variety of cases, applications, projects, and campaigns.
- Work cross-functionally with other business units (including sales, customer success, HR, product and strategy teams) to develop creative assets and ensure consistency and alignment of all Boston Dynamics branded materials.
- Design and develop creative ideas and concepts for campaigns and content that will have positive, measurable audience impact across multiple channels.
- Maintain a library of creative assets (photos, videos, etc.) and manage those resources to ensure they are organized, available and up to date. Manage the company's Brandfolder portfolio of approved assets for sales, customer documentation and product graphics.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 10-15 years of related experience with 5+ years of graphic design and creative direction in an agency or corporate setting.
- Strong portfolio that predominantly includes your own concepts, design, photography and videography, in addition to work you have directed teams or agencies to produce.
- A "big picture" creative vision with an understanding of how to leverage the company's brand and goals to meet sales and business objectives.
- Proven experience managing the complete creative project lifecycle, from brainstorming and concept development, through design, content creation and production.
- Strong communications and project management skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting concepts and finished materials to colleagues and company leadership.
- The ideal candidate has hands-on photography and video production capabilities to help us produce many of these assets in-house, in addition to experience managing agencies for larger, more comprehensive production products.
- The ideal candidate is also a skilled writer who can assist in the development of marketing content as needed.
