Creative Director - Art

We're hiring a creative director with a background in art direction and/or design to help mentor and lead a team of creatives in Boise, as well as lead the development of work for Drake Cooper clients. We believe in the sanctity of insights and strategically sound concepts, so our ideal candidate will have a proven ability to develop work that reaches audiences on a human level while still connecting to the brand message. We're also seeking someone who can promote good design and art direction practices across our work and use their experience to help our team members grow their skills. Finally, we want someone who can help promote our cultural values of bringing kindness, seeking diversity, and breaking trail-we are a culture-driven agency, and the right person for us will be the one who embraces that culture to the fullest.

What You'll Do:

• Providing creative direction to several agency clients
• Be a resource in the field of art direction and design, mentoring and guiding team members and assisting on relevant projects.
• Strategically push the creative integrity of all client campaigns and deliverables
• Focus on helping others do their best work, splitting your time between managing people and managing creative projects
• Foster a creative culture that embraces bold ideation and holds itself to a high standard of both work and people
• Leverage cultural and consumer insights to ensure all creative work is strategically strong
• Partner closely with Strategy/Planning, Account Management, Media, Business Development, and other key stakeholders
• Be an instrumental part of the agency's marketing and biz dev initiatives
• Be willing to be in Boise, Idaho - relocation package provided

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of creative experience - specifically in advertising agencies, with 5+ years in a creative leadership capacity, directly supervising creatives
• Owner of a creative portfolio that demonstrates a strong conceptual ability along with proven design/art direction expertise
• Proven track record of breakthrough creative development and business success
• You will have played a key role in shaping the agency culture that has resulted in a highly innovative, diverse, and engaged workforce
• Experience in emergent digital visual design trends, including Print, OOH, Interactive, UI/UX, Email, Mobile, and Social
• An expert in the tools of the trade, namely Adobe Creative Suite
• Production experience and knowledge of the production process for video, audio, and experiential executions
• Solid strategic understanding of brand strategy and market positioning to ensure a consistently modern voice across multiple client verticals
• Open-minded and adaptive to how data, analytics, and other innovations can help inform the development of more effective creative
• An outstanding collaborator and communicator who can work across multiple functions and internal teams with a strong director-level presence
• Have a strong appreciation of popular culture and avidly contribute to an understanding of the interests of our clients' audiences
