We're seeking an enterprise Creative Director—with a strong passion for telling compelling stories and designing experiences with precision and flair—to lead compelling creative output across a range of applications.

 

Who we’re seeking

We are looking for a creative leader to oversee concepting and production of social content, implement best practices (in design and social), and oversee a team of ten dedicated creatives that service one of Designit’s most strategic enterprise accounts.

This role requires a mindset that goes beyond the creative and into strategic operational models. This includes helping clients establish their creative strategy for social, create digital campaigns, integrate social and digital strategies across the modern marketing ecosystem, and develop marketing and communications strategies for numerous client brands.

The Creative Director will lead the day-to-day concepting and execution of static design, motion graphics, and video executions, while ensuring that brand tone of voice and personality is maintained. Marketing and accessibility standards must be met while pushing the envelope on creative innovation.

We’re looking for a social content expert who knows platforms, best practices, and how to create content that can break through the noise of social media. Understanding and leading new strategies, tools, and workflows will be expected. Advocating for the development of new tactics and technologies, communicating best practices and learnings across the organization, and collaborating cross-functionally will be essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in deep collaboration with client stakeholders on best strategies for creative processes and content. We are seeking a skilled leader who enjoys developing teams and people while managing a high volume of requests and tight deadlines.

 

What you’ll need

  • 10+ years of industry experience with 3+ years leading creative teams, either in-house or in an agency setting
  • Background working with enterprise technology brands is preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of relevant tools, including Adobe CC (especially Illustrator and Photoshop, with AfterEffects, Premiere, and Adobe AEM a plus) and Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Deep experience working in the social media marketing space with a commitment to keeping up with latest technology, channel, and creative trends
  • Aptitude for building and carrying out a working model that ensures operational rigor and consistent engagement with relevant stakeholders
  • Background in creating campaign storylines and various media executions for campaigns, including animation and video
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, including developing proposals and presentations
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to develop solutions for complex problems in highly ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex subject matter, simply and clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to own a room and “be the expert” with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and proactive mindset
  • Impeccable attention to detail, with excellent grammar and writing skills
  • Ability to manage and delegate high volumes of creative work efficiently
  • Experience using social media content and publishing management tools (especially Sprinklr) is a plus
  • Confidence to define the creative vision and strategy for content programming across relevant channels, including community, outbound, conferences, summits, and crisis escalations
  • Experience providing creative direction and mentorship to the creative team, managing performance, staffing, onboarding, and PTO coverage
  • Provide thought leadership and drive innovative initiatives on new format types and visual styles
  • Collaborative approach with wider team to adjust creative, based on data and community signals, and know which stories are the right fit for appropriate channels and audience
  • Interpret brand and accessibility guidelines and ensure adherence for all creative social assets
  • Manage and update visual systems and social guidelines for owned social channels
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals and priorities, and ensure that copy and design activities support them
  • Partner with the analytics workstream to understand the hashtags, keywords, CTAs, and creative designs that drive the most impact
