Role Summary:
As we revitalize the Grubhub brand, we're looking for a best-in-class Creative Lead, Design to help guide our visual evolution and lead our design team alongside the other Creative Lead and Associate Creative Director. You'll balance your time as project oversight and as a designer, working on projects across all aspects of our business. This role will be hybrid with the expectation of two days a week in our Chicago or New York City office.
Responsibilities:

• Manage 1 direct report, overseeing their work and guiding their development as a mentor and coach
• Lead creative development on projects, overseeing the work of others and ensuring project success
• Develop effective, engaging, hunger-inducing work for video, social, email, digital ads, blogs, websites and beyond for B2C and B2B audiences
• Deliver meticulously crafted design work on complex and high-visibility projects
• Embrace daily challenges and be resourceful in solving problems
• Present creative work with confidence, clarity, and sound rationale
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Work with individuals across all disciplines and capabilities to ensure project success
• Manage working time and stay organized to handle multiple assignments and meet all deadlines
• Be a team player who cheers on their colleagues, guides with empathy, and is constantly seeking ways to make our culture more inclusive
• Love food and show an insatiable curiosity to learn more about it

You should have:

• Portfolio (with link) demonstrating strategic, conceptual and original work
• Proficiency with Adobe suite, Sketch, and Figma
• Strong understanding of type, color, and composition
• Experience with art direction for video and photo shoots
• 6+ years experience at an agency, studio, or in-house working in digital and print
• 1-2 years experience as a project leader/oversight or people manager
• Must be comfortable with domestic travel
• Must be comfortable using Gmail, Google Docs, and Slack
• Bachelor's degree in design or related field, or relevant years of experience

New York Salary Range: $109,000 - $154,000
The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and, education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package. The Total Rewards package will be determined at the time a contingent offer is made.
