Creative Lead, Art Director
Job Description
As an Art Director for Nomad Health, the Creative Lead is dedicated to bringing a premiere healthcare staffing marketplace to life for tens of thousands of healthcare professionals looking to travel. Whether through design, marketing, or in-product work, you will be a driving force behind delivering Nomad Health’s dynamic story to our audiences and being part of the first digital marketplace for healthcare staffing. Our mission is to remove every obstacle between providers and the patients they care for.Â

The Creative Lead will lead all marketing and product-owned creative elements for new and existing branding, including branding/identity development, overall creative direction including color, marketing-facing typography, photography, and other style elements. This lead will be responsible for managing a team of creatives and content writers as you shape the brand against the needs of multiple groups you will serve.
All prospective candidates will be required to provide an updated portfolio as part of the interview process.
Responsibilities/What You Will Do- Roll out a new style guide across assets/channels; maintain quality standards and asset guidelines across channels
- Support web, email, social, and direct response teams with content development & design
- In-depth understanding of content asset development across a breadth of styles, mediums, and sources (from still photography to moving, video, to user-generated content)
- Develop and execute digital campaign concepts to support all facets of the business including new product launches and general advertising concepts
- Commission photographers, illustrators, animators and other creative partners on projects of various scales that will support larger brand vision and campaign goals
- Manage existing team and hire for new roles within creative services
- Build out organized & thoughtful decks that help sell through the vision of the project
- Present creative work passionately and persuasively to stakeholders across the organization and beyond
Qualifications/ Skills - What You Will Need
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Design-related focus of study, or equivalent work experience to a 4-year degree
- 8 years of experience in an agency or in-house design team; Healthcare or related portfolio of examples a plus
- Must provide a portfolio that demonstrate your multi-faceted experience
- Smart, dynamic portfolio with strengths in photography, composition, typography, design systems, illustration, storytelling, and experience with creative development across multiple functions
- Ability to be self-sufficient and juggle many different types of projects on different timelines, with independent time-management skills; You are incredibly organized and ready to untangle sometimes multi-tiered requests
- Skilled in post-production typography & motion graphics. Ability and experience with presenting work in meetings, and selling creative visions to cross-functional stakeholders
- You have a passion and interest for great design and art direction
- You have the desire to work within a team, both giving and receiving constructive feedback and have an aptitude for creative iteration
- You possess the ability to identify and work with creative partners including photographers, illustrators, animators, writers, directors, and producers
- You're able to work with minimal supervision and provide guidance for others on the creative team
- You have an appreciation for clean, functional, effective design and communication

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Colorado is expected to be between $101,500 to 122,500, and for a candidate based in NYC to be between $119,500 to 144,000. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on geographic locations, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law. This role is also eligible to receive a bonus, which is not guaranteed and may be based on individual and company performance.
