Creative Lead, Barkley Films

As a Director of Barkley Films with a focus on the art, craft and technique of production you are a whole team creative leader for all work coming out of Barkley Films.  You have a keen eye for creative excellence and craft while maintaining the ability to be agile, nimble and adaptive to the changing dynamics of a fast paced production environment and creative business.  You have regularly been through different & unique production challenges and have come out on the other side having set up the team and the work for success while elevating every step of the way.  You are a leader of creative execution, a mentor to the team and accountable to the work the department creates.You lead the craft of production across all work running through Barkley Films : TV, OLV, social video, photography and activation content capture.  You are a level-headed and reliable partner to creative teams, brand teams, producers and every other department you interact with.  You understand that cultivating strong relationships across the agency is critical to the success of projects and Barkley Films.You are future-forward thinking and realize you are never done growing and improving your team, yourself and the work.  Your focus is on both the work being produced by the team and also the immediate work being performed by yourself as well as the work for the remainder of the year. You are always examining and evaluating team processes to propose improvements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver work that’s creatively dynamic and aligns with the team mission every time.
• Review and provide creative feedback on projects coming out of Barkley Films to ensure the craft of the work delivered.
• Be seen as a creative lead of the team to the team and agency alike by providing ongoing inspiration + best practices for the skill sets within the Barkley Films, Integrated Production Team and the Creative department.
• Ability to be physically present with the team to provide on-going mentorship and inspiration.
• Manage high volume of work with a level head and solutions based approach.
• Accountable to providing a strong production experiences on all projects you lead – for Barkley and Clients
• Provide creative POV and be a partner to Barkley Films Producers and/or Agency producers to solve production challenges in real time and with a solution based approach.
• Develop strong relationships across Integrated Production and Creative to be seen as the creative go-to for Barkley Films.
• Mentor other creatives and producers within the department, not just your direct reports.
• Mentor and lead your direct reports by providing them clear direction, support and creative paths forward at Barkley.
• Proactively own and lead on going Barkley Films work and all creative talent within the teams reels as well as sharing out exceptional work within the creative department to continue to put Barkley Films in the forefront.
• Be the epicenter and leader for all Barkley New Business production, Barkley content and Case Study work.This work is critical to the growth of Barkley.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years in production environment 
• Ability to operate with significant autonomy.

• Ability to manage/supervise multiple projects
• Ability to provide clear and concise direction to help grow talent within Barkley.
• Ability to travel as required by projects.

• In-depth knowledge of production and post-production process.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Is an established creative leader within the department and visible across the agency.
• Has developed strong cross-department relationships with all departments.
• Proacitively works with Executive Producer of Barkley Films around ideas and processes that put the work in the forefront.
• Is reliably cool under pressure in all situations no matter the challenge.
• Consistently and actively mentors all roles across the entire team. 
• Is always vocal as a team leader for solving whole team challenges now and with an eye well into the future.
