We are seeking a Creative Manager to join our team.
Job Summary
Imprivata's Creative Manager plays a key role in developing and implementing a compelling brand identity that effectively differentiates and positions Imprivata as the digital identity company for life- and mission-critical organizations . As Creative Manager, you will bring the brand to life while elevating the creative subject area across the company by leading, coaching, and developing a talented team of creative designers, illustrators, motion designers, videographers, editors, and other creative professionals. You will set the strategy for the creative direction of our brand with guidance from both the VP of Brand, Digital, and Communications to which the position reports, as well as the Chief Marketing Officer. Through your creativity and storytelling skills, the Creative Team's work will positively impact new and existing customer engagement and conversion to paid accounts, as well as help to build brand awareness, cultivate an innovative market reputation, and grow revenue.
The role requires a highly strategic problem solver with a proven track record of executing a consistent customer experience across every touchpoint, including web, video/film, print, social, sales support, events, and more. You have extensive experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, environment and be comfortable guiding teams, outside agencies, and/or production partners, but should be willing to roll up your sleeves to do the work as needed.
We are seeking a creative visionary who brings deep experience in translating complex concepts into easily understood creative communications. Likewise, the successful Creative Manager will also bring human-centered people expertise, with the ability to forge strong partnerships with teams and stakeholders across all areas of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Creative and Media Production
- Execute a creative strategy that effectively differentiates and positions Imprivata as the digital identity company for life- and mission-critical organizations, and strongly resonates with a range of audiences
- Direct creative output for the brand from the early concept stages through production, rolling up your sleeves to do the work as needed
- Lead the development of creative briefs and utilize design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders
- Expand media content and reach on YouTube, social media channels, and websites in collaboration with Communications and Digital Teams
- Cultivate ongoing improvements in creative processes and methodologies
- Collaborate with team members, other departments, and external partners as needed to identify creative asset needs and ensure creative projects are completed effectively and efficiently
Brand Management
- Responsible for the creative and visual identity of the company's brand tone and across all public and internal-facing marketing properties
- Create templates, guidelines, brand books, and assets for organizational use
- Ensure creative projects are aligned with defined style guides and updating those guides as needed
Departmental and Administrative
- Build and maintain a high-performing, in-house Creative Team, providing high-level concept mentorship
- Ensure that creative project milestones/goals are met and projects adhere to budget
- Manage vendors and vendor relationships in creative strategy, production, and execution
Required Qualifications
- A fine arts degree (preferred) or an undergraduate degree in graphic design, visual communication, typography, or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience
- An intimate understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines
- 7+ years of creative management experience in agency and in-house creative departments (preferably inside of technology companies)
- Demonstrated departmental leadership experience that consists of team structure, budget, and project timeline oversight
- Ability to build, mentor, and develop an outstanding, high-performing team-attract and retain top talent
- Very strong project management and cross-collaboration skills across an organization's departments as well as with external partners
- Ability to be hands-on with creative oversight on key projects
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
- Champion of people-centered and ethical storytelling
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment
- Knowledge of the B2B/SaaS space
- Expert in a variety of software, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Office 365
This position offers a salary range of $92,000 to $148,000 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here . This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
