Job Description
In your role as a Creative Media Manager, you will work with Senior Instructional Designers, business stakeholders, and learning partners to create visually engaging, innovative, and functional video, motion graphic, games, and web learning elements that have a positive impact on business results, with an eye toward learning in the flow of work. Your ability to bring your vision and concepts to life in interactive modalities will not only be welcomed but celebrated. This role requires a thorough understanding of the right balance between business, design, and serving our brand's purpose, business missions and customer needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
As part of our Curriculum Development team, you will be working in the areas of multi-media design such as video, motion capture, gamification, graphic design, and post-production editing and effects. You will use your knowledge, expertise, and skills to develop content for learning solutions and initiatives. As a key contributor to our Digital Strategy, your aim is to create visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging content that reflects and reinforces the Cox Brand. More responsibilities in detail:
- Understanding the business goals and translating into sound adult learning methodologies
- Collaborating with support partners in needs analysis for new and ongoing initiatives
- Uses our Target State of Learning Roadmap to guide the development of interactive adult learning in all modalities, with a particular focus on mobile, social, and learning-on-demand.
- Manage conceptualization, development, production, and revision process at each level
- Strategize, own, manage and implement multiple instructional design projects
- Manage multiple and highly complex initiatives using sound project management tools and methodologies tracking all components of the project
- Participates in cross-functional teams for project implementation at an enterprise level
- Ensure appropriate, on-brand content is provided to or secured from vendors, cross-functional departments, and other parties as needed for course development
- Review, edits and provides feedback to ensure relevant and actionable training of both new and existing curriculum as needed
- A spirit of consultancy to serve as trusted advisor, establishing relationships with various stakeholders that ensures the best partnership
- Outstanding organizational skills, agility, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end
- Actively collaborative with and coach other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience
- Participate in professional development to stay abreast of current research and best practices
- Staying in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, trends in visual design field, advocating for their adoption in our organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
- 10 or more years equivalent combination of education and work-related experience in related field (including product, systems, tools, sales, and service training)
- BS/BA degree in related discipline (i.e. Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field) and 6 years of experience required in related field (including product, systems, tools, sales and service training)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
- 7-10 years experience in coordinating and managing course development and course revision projects from inception to completion
- Experience in corporate instructional design
- Proven experience with blended learning and design technologies
- Requires strong knowledge of the following concepts and tools:
- Video Production: filming in the field or a studio environment; composing and lighting a scene properly, setting up the audio and filming
- Tools: cameras, lenses, lights, microphones, green screens
- Video Editing: cutting, splicing, compositing, keying green screen footage, visual effects, color correction
- Audio Production: Editing voice over, music, sound effects, podcasts. General audio hardware setup with wireless mics, mixers, etc.
- Tools: Adobe Audition, Apple GarageBand, microphones, mixers
- Motion Graphics: 2D/3D animated microlearning videos or assets. Building animated content from scratch
- Tools: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Adobe Character Animator
- Graphic Design: image manipulation, illustration, page layout, logo design, typography
- Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Cinema 4D
- 3D Animation: 3D modeling, character design, sculpting, animation, texturing, lighting, rendering, dynamics, motion capture
- Tools: Cinema 4D, zBrush, Houdini, Maya
- Web Design/Development: Can design and develop custom websites/apps/tools
- Tools: Adobe Animate, Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Interface Design: Custom interface/menu design beyond the standard "click next to continue"
- Tools: Articulate 360, Adobe Animate, Adobe Dreamweaver, Storyline, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML
- Gamification: Web-based HTML games, and currently working towards game engine and VR game design with Unity/Unreal
- Tools: Adobe Animate, Storyline, Unity, Unreal
- LMS Administration/Knowledge: General understanding of how the LMS tracks content. Ability to write custom calls to the SCORM API beyond the off-the-shelf options in authoring tool
- Preferred
- Advanced education via degree or certification in multimedia-related techniques or processes
- Experience in Instructional Technology or related field
- Experience in the telecommunications industry desired
- Operations management strongly preferred
- Experience working with and leading teams in a virtual environment
- Proven results with strategic thinking, creativity, and deployment of training initiatives linked to business outcomes
