Creative Project Manager
Job Description
This is a client-facing role. A great project manager thrives in the organization and implementation of systems (Slack, Google Suite, Monday.com, etc.). This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects at a time as well as to handle hundreds of creative assets.
To succeed in this highly cross functional role, this individual must possess strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills. This position requires solid knowledge of the creative development process.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Acts as primary contact between creative teams and cross-functional business teams, working to share daily updates, coordinate timelines, schedules meetings, follows up on outstanding deliverables and ensure flawless, timely execution.
- Builds client relationships and acts as the primary project contact with outside clientele.
- Manages multiple projects and schedules at a time, ensuring that all key deliverables and objectives are executed in a timely manner and creative resources are applied accordingly.
- Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses and plans to various team members ranging from junior to senior leadership, always tailoring communication and bringing solutions/opportunities.
- Ensures projects are routed for proper approval and all sign-offs are confirmed and recorded.
- Assesses projects for potential risks / roadblocks and strategically proposes solutions to problem solve.
- Keeps track of project financials and profitability and factors scope into project planning.
- Effectively transcribes, leads and organizes meetings that consist of multiple disciplines and levels to ensure next steps are agreed on and meeting goals are met.
- Proactively and consistently defines and develops process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity across the Creative Departments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience at a creative agency or equivalent work experience.
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
- Experience with project management, account management or operations in media.
- Ability to create and maintain concurrent project plans, while managing shared creative resources.
- Proven experience delivering at high volume, including video, digital & web and presentations that include multiple versions across social channels, paid and organic.
- Collaborative, detail oriented, analytical thinker who is able to quickly and calmly react to changing needs/deadlines.
- Enthusiastic problem solver who takes ownership of tasks and projects.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Experience working with marketing teams preferred.
- Mid level knowledge of the MS Office suite, Google Suite, Monday.com (or similar tool).
- Strong knowledge of the various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
- Experience with Mac programs and familiarity with Adobe product suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere) - working knowledge of programs is not required, but a plus!
- Working knowledge of digital tools, terminology, best practices across digital, photo, and video.
- A strong passion and comprehension of the media/video production industry.
