Creative Strategy Intern
Job Description
MATTE partners with accredited universities to provide career training to enrolled students (interns). The program runs from the beginning of a respective academic semester to the end of the semester. Through our internship program, students will work in various departments learning day to day workings of a creative agency. MATTE’s program will allow students to build on their academic and classroom experience and will provide valuable training that will be useful for the future. Each intern is supervised by an assigned department head to make sure that learning outcomes are achieved. Additionally, each intern is provided a mentor.
- Interested applicants must be enrolled in an accredited university or school and able to receive credit. Students must be in their senior year of school in order to participate.
- Applicants must be able to intern at least two full days per week.
- MATTE only provides credit based internships and may only in special cases pay interns.
- Students must apply through their respective school or on MATTE’s career website.
- Students must submit their resume and provide their school’s information as well as their eligibility to receive credit.
- Portfolio are required to be submitted for Design and Creative internships.
The Creative Strategy Intern is responsible for assisting the Strategy department and delivery of projects to our clients. You will be heavily involved throughout the entire creative process. In this role you will brainstorm, write and strategize and execute with finesse and efficiency.
-Assist the strategy team and account managers with brainstorming concepts and execution of projects
-Assemble creative decks; image sourcing, talent research and copywriting.
-Perform on-site coordination of shoots and events.
-Work to prep projects, working to organize shoots, productions, and events
-Perform project specific research
-Be a student of the creative industry, keeping up on the latest news, trends, emerging platforms and talent.
REQUIREMENTS
-Major in Journalism, Communications, or related
-Must be a creative thinker who is conceptually driven with a strong aesthetic & taste.
-Social Media savvy and able to work on multiple projects at once
