The Role:
The Credit Analyst manages credit evaluation in accordance with the BT Credit and Collections Policy. This position will report to Sr Manager, Credit, and Collections.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze customer credit, financial, and industry information to make the best decisions for the company
- Ensure compliance with credit policy, procedures, and internal controls
- Facilitate the establishment of credit lines, terms negotiation, and conditions of the extension
- Assess, Recommend, and Negotiate key risk and mitigation strategies that maximize sales while managing risk
- Builds and leverages external company relationships to get credit references and stay abreast of industry trends
- Support Senior Manager to identify, design, develop, test, and implement process improvements, and IT enhancements
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports to gain insights into the customer portfolio and guide management decisions
- Develop and leverage relationships with customers, business partners, field sales, and customer operations
- Partner with Sales to find solutions to grow and retain sales while managing risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional key stakeholders to train, develop, support, and communicate respectfully on credit-related matters
- Act as a key liaison between the credit team and other business functions
- Provide oversight of legal document requests for court filings, affidavits, bankruptcy confirmations
- Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with team members inside and outside the Order to Cash function
- Full knowledge of corporate credit and collections policies; including credit review procedures, managing opportunities and renewals, and credit limit setting.
- Support Senior Manager Credit and Collections on various projects and assignments

- Familiarity with Bankruptcy laws related to debt collection
- Learns new systems quickly and in a highly organized fashion
- Patience and ability to manage stress
- Skilled in negotiation and problem-solving
- B2B credit analytics experience is required
