Job Description

Manage receivables and collections for outstanding accounts. Establish and manage credit limits for new and existing customers by evaluating, providing analysis, conclusions and recommendations to management, while enforcing the company’s credit policy. The candidate will also post cash applications and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded, update AR and issue invoices, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact customers to collect payments, resolve billing disputes, and/or obtain remittance advice or application direction to post unapplied payments or credits
  • Post and process cash and other journal entries
  • Identify problem accounts and provide regular updates to management
  • Prepare report on highest risk accounts including recommendations for resolution
  • Interact with customers to obtain additional credit information to support credit lines
  • Initiate credits and adjustments to customer accounts within company policy limits
  • Submit requests to management with supporting documentation to establish credit limits for new customers
  • Maintain unapplied cash records and prepare check request for refunds
  • Post cash receipts to general ledger in accordance with company policy
  • Assist supervisor in annual reviews and complete approvals for credit limits on existing customers
  • Maintain sales tax exemption certificates in AVALARA and run campaigns to keep updated
  • Reconcile bank accounts at month-end
  • Prepare/complete trade and bank references
  • Assist tax department with sales tax requests/issues
  • Complete audit requests for documentation
  • Monitor EDI and other invoicing issues
  • Upload and monitor invoices in customer portals
  • Work with sales department and review blocked orders for possible release

  • Experience using LN or other ERP systems such as SAP, ARIBA
