Summary
As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in the financial and risk assessment of customer credit applications and ongoing customer relationships. The Credit Analyst will communicate regularly with the business and customers to ensure accurate account statements and timely collections of amounts due to the Company.
Essential Functions

Perform credit underwriting for new and existing customers in evaluating credit information from banks, trade creditors, and credit reports to ensure appropriate credit limits.

Regularly contact customers to ensure accounts receivable remains current. Work with customers for any past due amounts to drive quick resolution.

Make timely recommendations to the Manager, Credit & Collections of efficient and effective corrective action to resolve the delinquency; resolve the account to current status or take steps to resolve the account satisfactorily.

Process, follow up, and resolve inbound collection and customer service telephone inquiries in a timely manner with comprehensive tracking and notation of contacts made.

Monitor lien rights, provide reporting, as required, to the business of past due amounts with expiring lien rights, and process lien releases.

Work in a team-oriented job that requires working and communicating positively and professionally with fellow employees, customers, and vendors. Establish and maintain positive relationships.
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred, but not required.

2+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar financial analysis role.

Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis techniques, credit risk assessment, and credit underwriting principles.

Familiarity with credit bureau reports and credit scoring models.

Proficiency in using financial analysis software and tools.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
