Credit & Collections Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLEĀ
Pelotonās Credit & Collections Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Ā the credit & collect process across geographic and business unit boundaries. This position will partner with keyĀ cross-functional team members across the organization to drive AR operational excellence.Ā Ā
This position will be involved in a variety of cross functional projects that have an impact to the Finance Ā Operations organization and will require understanding of operational and financial systems and strongĀ accounts receivable acumen. This includes an accounting background as it pertains to the order to cash process Ā and the ability to solve complex problems accurately and efficiently. This position will be expected to identify process improvement opportunities and assist in driving positive change across the department.Ā
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTONĀ
- Perform the end-to-end Credit & Collections process for all B2B sales verticals within the businessĀ
- Evaluate credit worthiness of new and existing customers to determine risk level and provide/maintain suggested credit limits
- Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders and lead initiatives as it pertains to improving the organization and delivery of the Credit & Collections process
- Collaborate with technology resources to consider platforms/tools and system enhancementsĀ
- Recommend solutions to improve integration and streamline processes to support collections effectiveness and improved customer experiences
- Work with the billing team to resolve any known invoicing issues or discrepanciesĀ
- Maintain accurate and up to date customer contact information and MDM
- Measure and report on key performance indicators, highlighting issues/areas for improvement and developing required action plans with a focus on improvement of order to cash cycle time (DSO)
- Operationalize and maintain our write-off policy as well as provide recommendations for adjustments to the allowance for doubtful accounts Ā
- Work with the AR teams to research unapplied cash and keep that balance at a minimum
- Collaborate across geographies and business divisions to harmonize and standardize process requirements with AR best practices in mind
- Provide support and documentation as needed to assist SOX delinquent AR controls and audit requests
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 3+ years of work experience in a Credit & Collections role
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service while achieving department collections goals
- Experience with credit analysis and maintaining/approving credit lines
- Knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to solve problems in a way that ensures accounting requirements are met
- Skilled in excel with the ability to produce reporting using large amounts of data
- Experience using NetSuite; SAP experience a plus
- Operates independently with a bias to closure to solve problems quickly, effectively, and accurately with a sense of urgency
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Excellent data entry, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Hands-on, self-starting, focused, and meticulous individual with the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment that requires accurate and timely results
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to improve performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results
Base Salary: $69,500.00Ā to $90,400.00
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
