Summary/Overview:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking an Associate to support our Credit Policy team in the New York office.  This individual should have Financial Services industry experience and be extremely well-organized.  Proficiency in statistical analysis is preferred.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide independent oversight of methodologies, rating definitions and related policies and procedures that govern the credit rating process.
• Maintain and organize regulatorily required records and data.
• Develop processes to support the analytical teams and improve efficiency and accuracy of record keeping, which may involve utilizing SQL, advanced Excel and/or Python.
• Create customized reporting and training materials.
• Support the credit rating teams in interpreting the firm’s policies and procedures.
• Support the Quantitative Risk Management function.
• Collaborate with other control groups on Credit Rating Process controls.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills are essential to effectively fulfilling this role.
• Proficient with MS Excel skills, with capability to manage/manipulate data for various ad hoc assignments, reports, projects, etc.
• Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Be pro-active in learning KBRA’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Experience:

• B.S. / B.A. degree in Finance or Economics is required.
• Two (2) or more years of experience within Financial Services is required.
• Familiarity with SQL, MongoDB, Python, VBA or R is preferred.
• Experience with Fixed Income and Credit Markets is preferred.
• Modeling experience or quantitative/statistical analysis experience is preferred.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $110,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
