Credit Research Analyst

AllianceBernstein as a global asset manager is seeking a credit research analyst responsible for producing high-quality credit research on Asia based corporate bond issuers across multiple sectors especially the industrial sector and the financial sector.

This role sits with global credit research team. Collaboration with portfolio managers, traders, other credit research analysts across different markets including the United States, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai is central to this role. This role requires strong financial modelling skills and communication skills. As a global asset management firm, we put clients’ interest first. So we are looking for candidates that share our fiduciary mindset.

This role will report to Director of Asia Credit Research and will be based in Taipei.

Responsibilities

• Produce bottom-up fundamental research on Asia (including Greater China) corporate credits across multiple sectors under assigned coverage; Integrate industry trend analysis into fundamental analysis.
• Proactively communicate fundamental views, in a well-structured manner, to portfolio managers and other investment professionals.
• Maintain a high-quality work product with respect to financial modelling, industry trends, and credit review presentations to portfolio managers.
• Interact with company management, sell side analysts and rating agencies. Attend industry conferences and investor meetings as appropriate.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of fundamental research experience in corporate credit, equity or a rating agency. Equity research background is preferred. Experience covering companies in Greater China would be an advantage but not required.
• Basic fundamental analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Demonstrated written & verbal communication skills sufficient to share views with portfolio managers and others on the investment team.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree holder in Finance/Economic or preferred fields.
• Openness to working with quantitative tools which drive portfolio construction required.
• CFA or progress towards achieving it preferred.
• Possess Taiwan license for SITCA registration.
