What is this role about?
As a Credit Risk Controller at Bondora, you will play a pivotal role in advising and challenging the first line of defense in credit activities. Your main responsibilities will include developing and monitoring risk control measures, ensuring compliance with credit risk appetite, and reporting credit risk profiles to management. You'll also work on automating risk reporting processes and contribute to Bondora’s key strategic projects, including obtaining a banking license. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Bondora's credit risk management framework and grow within a dynamic, innovative company.
What would ensure success in this role?
- 4+ years of experience in credit risk management within banking or fintech, particularly in consumer lending.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk regulatory frameworks (EBA, IFRS 9, CRR) and credit risk management best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) for data analysis and automation of risk reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to advise stakeholders and present reports to governance bodies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
