Credit & Risk Engineering - Front End Developer

ABOUT THE POSITION

KKR is looking to add an experienced and talented Senior Front-End Engineer to its Credit Technology and Engineering team to work on complex and challenging projects to drive transformative change for the Credit business.

The role will be based in our Gurugram office in India and entails building and supporting trading, analytics and reporting systems; an opportunity to participate in all aspects of the application development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application development and devising test cases. 

The ideal candidate would have a familiarity or strong interest in financial investment and experience in developing front-end applications using a modern technology stack.  The candidate must have excellent programming and data management skills, strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a cultural fit with an emphasis on teamwork, excellence and results. This will be a 5 days in office role. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Strong individual contributor in addition to leading and mentoring team members
• Work with business users and perform requirements analysis, application design and implementation of front-end / UI applications
• Ensure high focus on testing in the form of building proper unit and regression tests
• Leverage and help evolve existing frameworks and toolsets
• Align and add to the culture and overall vision/mission of the team

Requirements

• 5+ years or equivalent of programming experience
• Strong experience in developing front-end applications using React, Javascript / Typescript. Other modern UI Development methodologies (Angular) and toolsets would be beneficial
• Working knowledge of Linux, Cloud technologies like AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker / Kubernetes, Gitlab, CI/CD workflows
• Understanding of programming design concepts, data structures and ability to analyze complex algorithms
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; detail oriented
• Strong cultural fit – teamwork, proactive/self-starter and result-oriented

Additional Skills/Knowledge

• Experience with AG Grid, Material UI, HighCharts, websockets, Socket.IO or similar products
• Experience of back-end development – Python, Fastapi, Flask, Pandas
• Knowledge of SQL & relational databases - experience with SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake
• Experience in one or more ofbank loans/leveraged loans, fixed-income products, CLOs & derivatives
