As part of the Credit Operations team you will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of the deal closing process. This position will be based out of the Irving office and will report to the Supervisor of Credit Operations.
Specifically, you will:Â Â
- Collect and accurately review and verify applicant's personal information and financial records for the loan in an efficient and timely manner while adhering to company policies and underwriting guidelines.
- Evaluate the information on the loan application against various lending standards to determine if the loan applicant should receive the loan amount requested and closely inspect application documentation for suspicious or fraudulent activity.
- Operate as quickly and effectively to ensure quick response time for Dealer partners with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a large volume of tasks while providing excellent customer service and strong attention to detail.
- Understand all of the various loan programs, platform functionality, and proprietary decisioning engine/mode while being able to provide thorough explanations of declines; and corresponding DTI & PTI caps.Â
- Confidently explain the regression model as it pertains to loan decisioning and loan terms, be comfortable walking dealers through using the platform and structuring deal terms.Â
- Communicate externally with our Dealership partners in regards to the status of reviewed loan applications including both inbound and outbound Dealership and Customer calls, chats, and emails.
- Identify potential fraud based on red flags and escalate for review.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2Â years of experience in Loan Processing, Underwriting, or Funding. Preferably in the auto or powersports industry.
- Must be able to work every Saturday and be flexible to work any shift during our hours of operation; 9am - 10pm EST.Â
- Excellent telephone, communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.Â
- Energetic, flexible, empathetic, with a positive attitude.Â
- Able to work well under pressure to meet daily and monthly goals while passing quality assurance audits and dealer feedback responses, and consistently meeting all SLAs.Â
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks using multiple tools at any given time: Salesforce, Slack, e-mail, Google Sheets, and proprietary LOS.Â
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail.Â
- Must have a basic understanding of loan processing and be familiar with all documents required for loan funding.
