CRM Administrator/Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Wight & Company, an award-winning, integrated architecture, engineering, and construction firm with offices in Chicago and Darien, Illinois, has an immediate opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in our Darien office for a marketing and/or data professional who is interested in an environment that’s fun, fast-paced, and rewarding.
The Administrative Assistant will help further implement and manage our CRM application (Unanet CRM by Cosential) which will form a central link between business development, marketing, operations, and accounting. The Administrative Assistant will be asked to engage in deep learning on the CRM system to improve data synergy across platforms, elevate efficiency in marketing processes, and help bring best practices to our professional teams.
Overarching responsibilities and expectations include:
- Become an expert on our CRM platform and become the go-to contact for users; provide ongoing support and training on application features
- Assist with ongoing system administration, including custom configuration, data management, optimization, and reporting; determine ways to utilize system for continuous improvement
- Serve as a primary contact on all issues related to functionality of the CRM platform
- Develop reports, dashboards and conduct data analysis to deliver insights and drive business strategy
- Assist the market leaders/BD teams in researching and providing insights regarding markets, trends, potential clients/partners, outside thought leadership content and competitor profiles.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with management and internal team members
- Manage multiple assignments, organize, and prioritize individual workload to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience & Skills Required
- Prior work or internship experience in an analyst or administrative role
- Experience using enterprise business information systems, such as CRM platforms, preferably Unanet CRM by Cosential and/or Open Asset is a plus
- Highly skilled in Excel and/or other data reporting tools, familiarity with Power BI is a plus
- Ability to build custom reports, dashboards, and models to help inform business decisions
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work full-time from our Darien, Illinois office
Things to Know About the Role
- Will have to do their own base level of learning through pre-recorded webinars/tutorials
- Must have a good handle on how Excel works
- Must be able to figure things out, be a logical and independent problem-solver
- Have the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Function as a self-directed worker, someone that doesn’t need to be told what to do to be effective
- A general background of marketing knowledge is very helpful
- Good internal knowledge, can visualize our internal needs and issues
- Could take 2 years to get a someone with no background fully up to speed and be successful
