The CRO reports to the CEO and partners with the R-Zero Executive Team to ideate, socialize, operationalize, and execute on current and future strategic corporate development. This role is accountable for the alignment and performance of all revenue generating teams. This includes the Sales and Customer Success department, as well as the Marketing department. The Product and Engineering departments do not report to the CRO, but as required for delivering a cohesive GTM strategy, this role requires strong collaboration and relationship building with the product and engineering teams. 

What You'll Do 

  • Define market size, geography, and verticals 
  • Delineate ideal buyer personas 
  • Define the most suitable markets and market segment
  • Define and evangelize R-Zero’s unique value proposition 
  • Connect market insight and detailed value proposition; develop holistic marketing strategy
  • Collaborate with finance on pricing structure creation 
  • Establish marketing and sales targets in alignment with company bookings objectives and create variable compensation strategies to drive attainment
  • Create a standardized outreach for current and future clients and coordinate implementation across sales channels, client management, and marketing and communications
  • Prospect and close relationships with key target clients
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
  • Establish both short-term results and long-term strategy, including full funnel marketing and  forecasting
  • Monitor strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success
  • Fill management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales and Customer Success organization 
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline through reporting, dashboards, and tracking channels to provide actionable insight
  • Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
  • Oversee all Channel/Partner Development -- adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners
  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
  • Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle
  • Leverage customer research (quantity and quality) to provide strategic leadership for brand architecture and positioning
  • Manage resource spending and allocation, operating within the approved budget, ensuring maximum resource utilization, maintaining a positive financial position
  • Scale our product offerings with an emphasis on revenue growth, operational efficiency, and speed of execution.

What We're Looking For 

  • MBA or comparable advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership positions driving and implementing revenue growth 
  • 10+ of business strategy in start up environments; hyper-growth history preferred 
  • Significant P&L management experience 
  • Track record of scaling revenue growth 
  • Demonstrated leadership of large, globally distributed sales teams 
  • Exceptional communication: written and verbal, able to connect with diverse audiences, excellent presentation skills for C-Suite and Board audiences, comfort in public speaking 
  • Data driven: insistent on data backed decision making; quick to dive into the details; clarity to measure what matters 
  • Goal orientation: motivated by timelines and tangible outcomes, well versed in planning and creation of short, medium, and long term objectives
  • Transformational leadership: ability to build strong professional relationships quickly and instill trust and buy in regardless of reporting lines; motivates others to action and innovation  
  • Analytical thinking: well versed in critical analysis and high financial acumen
  • Passionate visionary: authentically inspired by R-Zero’s mission to create a world without sick days; big picture thinker with the ability to translate vision into action
