The Analyst will work closely and coordinate with trading, operations, accounting, risk control and other global trading offices to manage and analyze Crude Supply and Trading (CSAT) Americas Profit & Loss (P&L) and exposure, as well as provide support for the monthly portfolio review. The Business Analyst will also participate in multi-functional project groups on new business and process initiatives.
Key Responsibilities for the Trading Analysts include:
- Performs analysis of Chevron's Crude Oil Supply and Trading (CSAT) business
- Understands, manages, and explains Profit & Loss (P&L), Physical and Financial Exposure, and Mark-to-Market (MTM) P&L
- Streamline and Simplify Business Processes
- Actively contribute as part of a regional trading team
- Problem solve front, mid and back office issues with IT, Accounting, and Risk Control
- Communicate Trading Activities and Performance Results to cross-functional Management, Support Teams and Trading Teams
- Monitors business unit compliance performance to make recommendations on next steps
- Back-up support for other CSAT Trading Analysts
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the energy industry,( preferably in Crude Trading)
- Demonstrated experience with analyzing data related to trading positions, MTM P&L, accounting earnings
- Demonstrated ability to investigate variances and give guidance towards solutions.
- High level of Excel proficiency
- Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Digital mindset and innovative thinker
- Passion to grow in the trading organization
- Proven time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Results driven yet detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Power BI Expertise
- Right Angle Experience
- Experience in an integrated Energy Company
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered.
International Considerations:
