Job Description

Core Responsibilities

1. Design creative diversity college recruiting strategies that align with broader business strategies to meet early talent recruiting needs. Implement and drive the execution of diversity outreach efforts that serve specialized enterprise needs in partnership with CSMs and business leaders in VSP, RIG and IT

2. Devise specialized sourcing strategies for diverse talent pools. Promote the sourcing of diverse talent through a variety of recruiting channels including universities, associations, social networks, direct referrals, community organizations, etc. Proactively research the latest diversity sourcing channels and evaluate the applicability of these channels for Vanguard

3. Develop and manage an external network of key university and community representatives and actively participate as the key Vanguard diversity representative on campus in the community, and at national conferences. Offer thought leadership on all matters related to diversity, college recruiting including speaking in public forums, contributing to editorial content, blogging for associations, etc.

4. Offer guidance and consultation on all matters associated with diversity recruiting at core and special interest schools. Attend events as applicable and act as a lead strategist for all college diversity outreach efforts

5. Partner with internal Recruiting Leads to incorporate diversity recruiting strategies into external recruiting efforts. Ensure top sourced candidates are being evaluated and considered in a timely manner to ensure appropriate recruiting outcomes. Leverage software solutions to effectively track candidates and report on candidate outcomes.

6. Collaborate with Employment Marketing to ensure specialized messages for diverse audiences accurately represent Vanguard's employment value proposition and brand. Utilize social media channels and other digital strategies to attract top talent and build a talent pipeline.

7. Leverage internal and external networks and reporting tools to acquire trends and incorporate recruiting best practices ongoing. Partner with Workforce demographics and HRBPs to understand changing demographics in the workplace and the effects on diversity recruiting efforts.

8. Develop and manage an internal network of influential and successful leaders and crew from across HR and the business to represent Vanguard at key recruiting events. Facilitate learning and educational experiences to inform and prepare stakeholder accordingly to assist with recruiting activities

9. Analyze recruiting effectiveness, top sources and source yield. Prepare and present bi-annual executive updates on the Black Talent diversity strategy. Identify and communicate improvement opportunities that will inform business leaders and drive hire outcomes to serve enterprise needs.

10. Partner closely with ET & DRS Coordinator on all administrative matters associated with event planning. Offer direction and guidance on materials, messages, job postings, and calendaring needs. Ensure resources are prepped appropriately and notifications are precise and timely. Monitor budget and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility

12. Participate in special divisional department related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of general business experience. Diversity recruiting and sourcing experience preferred.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of business partnerships and business strategies
  • Leadership impact and influence
  • Experience leading teams in a matrix environment
  • Understanding of HR policies and processes
  • Knowledge of corporate recruiting and talent attraction
  • Client service orientation; proactive and solution focused
  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills. People leadership skills including mentoring, training and coaching.
