What you'll do:

Cloud Services Operations (CSO) Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of cloud infrastructure. (Primarily PCE offerings from HPE and other upcoming CSP offerings from a Day 2 perspective and also support in Day 1 and Day 0 related activities ) CSO Engineer ensures that the availability, reliability, and performance of cloud services is always maintained within the agreed SLAs. CSO Engineer works with DevOps teams to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of cloud applications and infrastructure. Key responsibilities may include configuring cloud resources, managing security and access controls, and troubleshooting issues with cloud services. They may also be responsible for developing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud services.

Key responsibility of a CSO Engineer may include.

Provide support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple products, features and services.

Monitor application performance and detect conditions affecting the health of IT cloud services in various cloud platforms.

Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance.

Software deployment support in staging and production environments

Collaborate with Business, Security, Architect, and various Cloud teams to develop tools, solutions, automation, and patterns to solve problems and drive value.

Work closely with DevOps /Operations, Sec ops Cloud Architect teams to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.

Troubleshooting the application errors and adapt working with new technologies as required.

Apply automated deployment tool sets and infrastructure including environments and code management using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes.

System and Support status reporting

Identify root causes of technical issues in production and out of box failures.

Collaborate with team members, across business units, and across multiple time zones to create high quality customer outcomes.

What you need to bring:

The following are some common skills and qualifications for this role:

Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

Cloud Computing Experience: Experience in cloud operations, including experience with cloud infrastructure automation, deployment, management, performance testing and tuning.

Excellent Understanding of User and Identity Management, Application security concepts, Fleet management concepts and multi-cloud concepts

Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure components, such as virtual machines, block/object storage, networking, and security.

Scripting and Automation Skills: Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python, Bash, or Terraform, to automate repetitive tasks and improve infrastructure efficiency.

Technology proficiency: Experience in below technologies

AWS CloudWatch, Security Go Python, PowerShell Ansible, Chef, puppet Postgres SQL Containers and Kubernetes Morpheus OpsRamp, Logzio Prometheus, Grafana, jaeger Spinnaker, Helm GitHub, Jenkins Cloud / Software Defined Networking Linux and VMware Skills

Monitoring and Debugging Skills: Strong skills in monitoring and debugging cloud infrastructure and applications, and ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with other teams, including development, security, and compliance teams.

Operations Experience: Experience in cloud operations and maintenance, including experience with cloud infrastructure automation, deployment, and management.

Collaboration Skills: The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to coordinate efforts with other teams to resolve issues and implement new solutions.

Continuous Improvement: A desire to continuously improve cloud infrastructure and processes to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Compliance: Knowledge of and experience with industry standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure, including security, compliance, and data privacy regulations.

Service Management Experience: Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL, and experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. Annual Salary: $111,000.00 - $255,500.00
