POSITION SUMMARY:
- The ideal candidate is a C# software engineer who enjoys investigating complex problems and solving them creatively. Our fun, growing application development team writes software for our industry leading Kodak Moments Kiosk product. Our kiosks are in retail locations around the world and help consumers bring their Kodak Moments to life with workflows to turn their digital and printed images into a huge variety of photo gift products.
- We are seeking a self-motivated, well-rounded Software Engineer with at least 5 years industry C# experience, to provide current product engineering support for Photo Kiosk Systems, troubleshooting and addressing customer issues.
- This position is based in Rochester, NY. The team works in a hybrid work environment (currently a day/week at the office). Because troubleshooting the system often requires "hands-on" interaction, this is not a remote work opportunity.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Current Product support for Photo Kiosk Systems.
- Work independently as well as participate in multifunctional project teams that work through triage, root cause analysis, solution, testing, justification, implementation and deployment of improvements as well as follow-up verification activities.
- Manage incident reports for related work activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Visual C#
- Ability to read and update Visual C++
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Experience in software debugging, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Broad understanding of computer systems and related hardware integration
- Object-oriented programming experience
- Experience with Windows 10
- Experience with Windows Event Viewer and Registry
- Must be highly self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, be able to multi-task effectively and prioritize project work
- Good verbal and written communication skills
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Device driver experience
- Network experience
- Working knowledge of Windows scripting (e.g. DOS batch files, Powershell)
- Working knowledge of JIRA
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Experience with photo kiosks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- 5+ yrs industry experience
