Curriculum and Learning Manager, Early Childhood

About the role:  As a Curriculum and Learning Manager, you will work closely with the Vice President of Learning to create outstanding teaching and learning opportunities for our Vivvi educators and leaders as well as our students across all of our programmatic offerings-campus, in-home and virtual tutoring.  Combining childhood education and strong curricular knowledge, you will help to execute all aspects of our Vivvi Learning Institutes.  Through these robust and comprehensive learning institutes, Vivvi educators will not only be equipped to provide world class care and education, but will be provided with the opportunity to grow in their careers.  Additionally, the Curriculum and Learning Manager will support the creation and implementation of an exceptional curriculum.  At Vivvi, we foster children’s innate curiosity about the world around them.  Our curriculum and learning model encourages exploration, experimentation and discovery through developmentally appropriate interactions, experiences..  Rooted in research and child development, our learning model is aligned to learning standards in cognitive, social-emotional, physical, language and literacy and approaches to learning. 

As the Curriculum and Learning Manager, you will:

• Work with the Vice President of Learning to develop content for educator training and ongoing professional development across all of Vivvi’s offerings- on campus, in home and virtual tutoring, including:

• Researching best practices in the field of education in order to create innovative learning experiences for teachers and children.
•  Designing presentations for in person and online professional development with topics encompassing all aspects of teaching and learning.

• Work with the Vice President of Learning and General Managers to facilitate new teacher training institutes across all of Vivvi’s offerings-on campus, in home and virtual tutoring, including:

• Presenting content and facilitating faculty learning during our training institutes both in person and through our online learning platform.

• Create content for and provide support with managing Vivvi University, an online learning and development platform which will serve as a library for learning and growth across all of our campuses and learning platforms.  
• Support the creation and implementation of the Vivvi Learning model curriculum for children ages 6 weeks-5 years for our on campus and in home offerings and for school age children for our virtual tutoring programs, including:

• Researching best practices in the field of education.
• Documenting curriculum for internal purposes (teachers and leaders) and external viewing (families and prospective partners)
• Provide resources, training, modeling and coaching of teachers, as needed, across all of our offerings-on campus, in home and virtual tutoring. 

Experience:  

• 6-10 years of teaching experience
• Demonstrated track record with success coaching and developing teachers. 
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development: Reggio Emilia, Montessori and emergent curriculum for early childhood and inquiry based learning
• Experience facilitating and/or creating teacher professional development 
• Collaborative approach; able to build relationships across teams
• Familiarity with common technologies used in education and with virtual facilitation
