The Curriculum Manager, Grades K-5, Customization, Mathematics oversees the content development of Amplify Desmos Math core curriculum for middle school mathematics, Grades K-5, specifically for state and/or district customizations. The Curriculum Manager is responsible for overseeing the authoring and reviewing the curriculum of this given grade band, including developing the scope and sequence, brainstorming of lesson ideas and unit themes, reviewing new and modified lessons, and ensuring all state standards are fully addressed and aligned. The Curriculum Manager manages a team of Curriculum Developers. The Curriculum Manager will report to the Director, K-5 Math Curriculum.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a team of curriculum developers, who are responsible for customizing content across Grades K-5.
  • Lead unit planning to ensure standards coverage and pedagogical progression within and across the units and grades.
  • Review student and teacher edition (including core and ancillary materials) content for lesson progression, coherence, standards coverage, mathematical accuracy, clarity of purpose, ease of use, age appropriateness, and adherence to product vision.
  • Ensure that manuscripts and other deliverables are completed on time and ensure that team documentation is kept up to date (scope and sequence, bookmaps, glossary, etc.)
  • Meet on a weekly basis with the curriculum developers to balance or prioritize the team's workload and ensure pedagogical consistency and coherence across the grade band.
  • Ensure that they and their curriculum developers adhere to their roles and responsibilities (outlined by a Curriculum RACI) throughout the product development timeline.
  • Work closely with the Project Management team and other department leaders to monitor project health, and identify and resolve issues and risks.
  • Ensure print alignment (where necessary) to digital curriculum.

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (early childhood education preferred)
  • Familiarity with mathematical curricula, standards, and pedagogical trends for middle school
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Comfort using Google Docs and Suggesting changes (i.e., "track changes")
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience working effectively across teams with diverse priorities and focus
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in mathematics and education

Preferred Requirements:
  • 2+ years of curriculum development experience with elementary mathematics

What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
