About the role:
The Curriculum Writer will play a key role in the content development needs of Correlation Oneβs upcoming programs. This person will be responsible for writing lessons in the form of contextual business case studies, self-paced labs, and homework assignments in order to create engaging and industry-relevant curricula.
A successful curriculum developer will have experience in:
- Data repositories
- Data pipelines
- Data integration platforms
- Big Data
- SQL, NoSQL, Python, AWS - S3, Glue. RDS, Spark, RedShift,
- ETL/ELT processes - pipelines
- Knowledge of distributed systems Hadoop & Spark
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms Azure & AWS
- Strong programming skills in at least one programming language like Java, Python, or Scala
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra
- Understanding the basics of distributed systems
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Data Modeling
- Data Warehouse
The expected commitment to this role is approximately 10 hours per week.
This role is fully remote, flexible and is compensated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop class materials (lectures, homework, capstone project prompts, etc.) from a provided outline
- Engage in peer review class materials for content, grammar, and spelling
- Collaborate with Advisors, subject matter experts, and internal Correlation One team to deliver high quality content
- Provide teaching assistant support when needed
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years of combined experience in Data Engineering and key topics outlined above
- Strong command of the English language, both oral and written
- Ability to perform industry and domain research and incorporate new topics into varied curricula
- Data-driven mindset and results-oriented
