Custodial/Housekeeping

Grade:N/A FLSA:Non-Exempt Department:Safety Reports To:Safety Manager Location:5010 Space Center Shift:1st -TEMPORARY Position Summary:The Temporary Custodian/Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for regular detailed cleaning of production plant, corporate offices and employee bathrooms, breakrooms and meeting areas. Responsibilities: • Clean offices, meeting spaces, bathrooms, kitchens and other designated areas to include production plant and wiping down of machines. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily. • Dust all furniture and fixtures. • Clean and disinfect all kitchen and bathroom floors, counters, toilets, and sinks. • Replenish common supplies, snacks and drinks in designated areas. • Empty trashcans daily. • Clean fixtures, doors, hardware, and glass as needed. • Report minor maintenance repairs needed, property damage, and any acts of vandalism. • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner. • Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies. • Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing supplies. • Abide by companies’ safety and Health Policies and Procedures including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe work environment. • Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Prior Custodial or Housekeeping experience required. Some English skills preferred. Physical Conditions: • Position requires constant standing, kneeling, raising of arms to pull and push, and climbing. • Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures in the facility. Work Environment: • Will work in both an industrial warehouse and office environment.
