Custodian

Job Description Under general supervision, responsible for performing housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and all other areas in campus buildings. Responsibilities • Cleans, sweeps, mops, dusts, and scrubs tile work, floors, stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, locker rooms, and building lobbies. • Cleans, dusts, and polishes furniture and equipment. • Washes and polishes drinking fountains. • Cleans and maintains restrooms. • Empties waste baskets and trash boxes. • Wax and polish floors. • Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Ability to use common cleaning tools and lightweight vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers. • Ability to follow work schedule, work safely and lift/move lightweight objects. • Ability to read and/or follow simple direction/signs and follow simple verbal and/or written instructions. EDUCATION: • High school diploma or GED is required. Required Skills 0-3 years of experience
