Custodian/Janitor

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all users. The Custodian will be responsible for performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks, including industrial and commercial cleaning, buffing, and floor care. Duties: - Perform industrial and commercial cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming - Conduct residential painting projects as needed - Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment and addressing minor issues - Clean and buff floors to ensure they are safe and aesthetically pleasing - Clean and maintain restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors - Ensure all areas of the facility are clean and free of debris - Use specialized cleaning equipment, including scrubbers and dusters - Work closely with other members of the facilities maintenance team to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively - Keep track of cleaning supplies and report any issues to management - Perform other duties as assigned Experience: - Previous experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work - Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and best practices - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects - Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - High school diploma or equivalent required Skills: - Strong cleaning skills, including experience with industrial and commercial cleaning - Experience with residential painting projects - Knowledge of floor care and maintenance techniques - Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment - Experience as a porter or custodian - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and organized spaces - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with others Job Type: Part-time Pay: $14.00 per hour Work Location: In person
