Custodian/Janitor/Maintenance

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties • Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable. • Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote a clean and environmentally friendly space. • Carry out janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. • Provide porter services by maintaining cleanliness in common areas and assisting with event setups when required. • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Skills • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial roles is preferred. • Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is highly desirable. • Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and safety protocols is a plus. • Experience in facilities maintenance or residential painting can enhance your candidacy. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions effectively. • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
